Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry, to commence as soon as possible for two year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or equivalent, with a strong background and experience in Materials Chemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry or related disciplines.  Expertise in chemical synthesis, photophysical characterization and measurements, and functional materials characterization are preferred.  They should have fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.  Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation are essential.  The appointee will work on the research area of “Photoswitchable Materials” under the supervision of Prof. Vivian W.W. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
