Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Manager/Learning Designer/Curriculum Developer) in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 526415)
To commence asap on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Education, Social Science, Computer Science or other relevant fields with substantial years of experience in working with school/community-related projects. They should have good interpersonal and communication skills to be capable of communicating with schools and other stakeholders to coordinate the implementation of the project. A person who holds Hong Kong teacher qualification (e.g. a local Teacher's Certificate or Post-graduate Diploma/Certificate in Education) and has experience in learning design and curriculum development is a definite advantage. They should have proficiency in spoken Chinese (preferably in Cantonese) and English, and written English and Chinese, excellent communication skills, good IT skills, and experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research. Familiarity with the local education environment and curriculum design is highly desirable. Preference will be given to those who have familiarities with the local education system and experiences in Computer Science education (e.g. computational thinking, coding, programming, artificial intelligence (AI), and others), project coordination, and event organization such as seminars and conferences. Fluency in Cantonese would be a definite advantage.

The appointee holding the functional title of Project Manager (Administration) will oversee the progress of participating schools and ensure students are effectively engaged in the project. As the primary point of contact for assigned schools, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing various aspects of the project, such as school recruitment, pre-participation interviews, student admissions, module enrollment, learning log collection, progress reporting, and coordination with evaluations. Additionally, he/she may be assigned other tasks as needed.

The appointee holding the functional title of Learning Designer/Curriculum Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging and effective learning experiences that align with program goals and objectives in this project. He/she will work collaboratively with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to create high-quality learning content on various learning technologies (e.g. AI, programming, coding, robotics, digital literacy, cybersecurity, digital media, virtual reality & etc.) that meets the needs of our learners. He/she should have a sound knowledge in designing lesson plans and learning outcomes, and be able to demonstrate with good teaching skills. Experience in school teaching and course developments, especially ICT related subjects, is an advantage. Applicants with substantial experience in school curriculum development can be considered as Curriculum Developer.
