Research Assistant II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref: 527041) (to commence as soon as possible for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Statistics or related disciplines, preferably with training backgrounds in social science research. They should be interested in social work, aging, and social policy research and self-motivated. They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); a strong sense of responsibility; good organizational and interpersonal skill; ability to work independently and as a team, and to collaborate with external parties. 

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (Prof. Peiyi Lu) in collecting first-hand data on older adults in Hong Kong, including doing qualitative interviews, collecting and cleaning the data, analyzing data, drafting reports, and performing any other duties as assigned. The appointee will also have the chances to conduct self-initiated research projects using secondary data analysis and publish academic articles. The appointee will have the opportunity to pursue further research postgraduate degree under Prof. Lu’s supervision if applicable. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
