Research Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 527081)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage research projects studying immune cells and other cells generated from stem cells for basic research and therapies
  • Publish original research articles in high-impact journals
  • Secure external competitive grants, working independently and with other team members

Requirements

  • a Ph.D. degree in a discipline related to immunology, hematology, stem cells or other relevant biological/medical sciences
  • relevant post-doctoral training
  • demonstrated expertise in the study of haematopoiesis, immune cells and cell-based therapy
  • research experience in stem cell and humanized animal models
  • a strong track record of publishing high-quality research articles is preferred

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
