Research Assistant I/II in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 527337) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. They should be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team. Preference will be given to those with experience and/or interest in organic synthesis, mass spectrometry, cell culture, gel-electrophoresis, and western blotting.

The appointee will work on an interdisciplinary project related to the development of novel therapeutic agents targeting cancer-related proteins for therapy. This is a collaborative project, involving labs with expertise in chemistry, cancer biology, cell biology and immunology. The appointee will have a good opportunity to learn and perform state-of-the-art research for drug target identification and drug development.
