Applications are invited for appointment as (1) Lecturer (holding the title of Curriculum Coordinator) / (2) Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration on a full-time or a part-time basis (Ref.:527440), to commence as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will come with contract end-gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to (1) Lecturer: 15% of basic salary or (2) Assistant Lecturer: 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants must indicate the preference of post and fraction of employment in the application.

The appointees will be responsible for planning and implementation of training and coaching in a capacity building project for NGOs in Hong Kong. Target trainees will be board members, staffs or volunteers of NGOs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and therefore the appointee is expected to be active in practice research and educational innovations.

(1) Lecturer:

Applicants should possess a Master degree with at least 3 years teaching experience at tertiary / professional level, or a combination of 3 years of teaching and working experience. Preferences will be given to those with expertise in non-profit management and social service management. Being the Curriculum Coordinator, the appointee will be responsible for the curriculum design and the coordination of the training schedule of the projects.

(2) Assistant Lecturer:

Applicants should have a Bachelor and / or a Master degree with a strong record of teaching. Preference will be given to those with expertise in teaching and/or conducting research in the following disciplines: non-profit management, social services management, organization development, social and public administration.
