Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref: 528620) 

We now invite applications for the captioned post.

The successful candidate will work within Prof. Wei JIA's team to conduct metabolism-based pharmacological and translational research in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • conduct and deliver high-quality mass spectrometry-based metabolomics projects in the area of gut microbiota-host metabolic interactions
  • develop metabolomics-based database involving data integration, data visualization, and analysis.
  • operates mass spectrometry platforms.
  • obtain competitive research grants.
  • provide quality supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and
  • perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • a Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, biochemistry, or related disciplines.
  • exceptional expertise and skillset on the method development and operation, trouble-shooting of mass spectrometry systems.
  • exceptional written and verbal English language proficiency.
  • strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • proficiency in conducting independent research with high-level skills and capability.
  • the ability to work under tight deadlines and adhere to project schedules. 

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1-2 years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
