Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (ref:528685) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese; a strong sense of responsibility; and good interpersonal skill. They should also be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively as a team. Those with experience in dementia or family caregiving research, and competency in using statistical software will be an advantage.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in implementing a research project on family caregiving for people living with dementia, and be responsible for data collection, management and analysis, preparation of presentations, reports and publications, and other duties as assigned. On-the-job training related to dementia, interview skills, and quantitative as well as qualitative data analyses will be provided. Those with more research experience and/or a stronger academic background may be considered as Research Assistant I. Working irregular hours and/or on weekends, particularly for data collection, may be required occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and a written test.
