Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Research Manager) in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 528689) (to commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree / a Master’s degree with at least 1 year’s experience / a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience, preferably in Biostatistics, Statistics, Biological Science, or healthcare-related disciplines with experience in the management of clinical projects and/or pathology laboratories, skills on database and human resources management. They should have a strong sense of responsibility; good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; and the ability to work independently, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and with external parties.

The appointee will provide administrative and managerial service on a territory-wide precision oncology project; liaise closely with frontline health care workers and research assistants in pathology laboratories; monitor a prospective clinical database; work closely with pharmaceutical companies and hospital pharmacy to secure supply of various targeted therapies; and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
