Research Assistant I in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 528759) (to commence as soon as possible for 6 months)

Applicants should possess a master’s degree or above, preferably in biomedical/biological sciences or bioinformatics or a related scientific discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English; excellent organizational skills; and a strong sense of responsibility. Knowledge of microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, microbial genetics and genomics, and bioinformatic is highly desirable. Preference will be given to those with good capability in medical microbiology and genomics analysis to fulfil research aims.

The appointee will work in a research group that focuses on microbial genomics and antimicrobial resistance, under the supervision of Dr. P.L. Ho and Dr. H.L. Cao.
