Applications are invited for appointment as Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 528873), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector;
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Strong sense of responsibility and be attentive to details;
  • Good interpersonal, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
  • Proficiency in IT especially in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Responsibilities

The appointee will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical support to the Student Team on undergraduate or postgraduate curricula, including handling admissions, student matters, day-to-day enquiries, and assisting in programme administration; providing general support to committees; supporting academic activities and events; and performing any other duties as assigned.

The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of the basic salary.
