Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref: 529983) (to commence as soon as possible for six months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and other related subjects. They should have a strong interest in research related to modular construction, supply chain management, and construction information technology, as well as interests and (preferably) experience in developing digital systems for logistics and supply chain management. Skills in Magento, HTML5, PHP, CSS, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, MySQL are essential.

The appointee will assist in the “e-TranStar 2.0: i-Core-enabled Smart Just-in-Time MiC Transportation Planning ” research project under the Public Sector Trial Scheme (PSTS)- Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF). The appointee will be responsible for 1. mobility and trajectory prediction, route choice modeling, cross-mode spatiotemporal data mining, and traffic pattern analysis; 2. assisting in developing interactive logistics and supply chain management platform; and 3. forming the results into a series of research papers.

What we offer

The appointee will gain excellent transportation planning and simulation, platform development, data analytics, and academic writing experience from this post. The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for six months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
