Full-time Research Assistant I in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 530230) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master's degree or above, in English language education, or computer supported language education. They should have fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); good knowledge of multimodality, multiliteracies, digital literacy; good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; a strong sense of responsibility; and the ability to work independently and as a team. Expertise in qualitative data analysis, and multimodal interaction analysis are advantages. Bachelor’s graduates with relevant experience and good academic performance are also welcome to apply.

The appointee will work on the project on preservice English teachers’ learning of digital literacies. He/She will conduct interviews with participants, attend classroom observations, perform transcription, data entry, analysis, and writing up. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Prof. George Jiang at jljiang@hku.hk.
