Applications are invited for the following post:

 

Research Assistant I/II  in the Department of Surgery (to commence as soon as possible for one to two year(s),with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, with good computer knowledge including MS office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and preferably SPSS(for Windows),and knowledge of statistical analysis.  Those with past experience in clinical work in public hospital would have an advantage.  The appointee will be responsible for medical record retrieval and assessment; data entry and database management; and clinical trials reporting and management.  Contacts with patients and clinical specimen may be required. Being a member of a multidisciplinary research team, they will work on research projects.

 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointments on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
