HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute, a strategic collaboration between The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), aspires to establish as a world-class hub for Environmental, Social, and Governance best practices for Hong Kong, Asia and beyond. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Economics, Finance, Environmental Science, Social Science, or an ESG-related field in the recent three years (or will complete the Ph.D. degree before the summer of 2026). They should have a well-demonstrated interest in ESG research, excellent communication skills in Chinese and English for both writing and oral presentation, and proficiency in data collection, handling, and analysis using statistical software. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
Responsibilities:
The appointees will primarily work with the Institute Directors on the study of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and related subjects, aiming for academic journal publications. They will lead a team of Research Assistants and Research Officers, actively contribute to various activities at the Institute. Responsibilities include collecting, handling, and analyzing data using statistical software, moderating research seminars, managing the Institute's working paper series, organizing conferences, and engaging in the academic life of the Institute by regularly attending readings, lectures, presentations, and other campus activities.
