Applications are invited for the following post:
Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Medical/Biomedical Sciences, or related disciplines. Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and good organizational, self-motivated, and problem-solving skills.
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
- Collecting, managing, and analyzing clinical and imaging data;
- Performing statistical analysis and/or computational data analysis;
- Assisting in manuscript preparation, drafting methods and results sections for publications and reports, conference presentations, and grant applications;
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including clinicians, scientists, and overseas and mainland collaborators;
- Organizing participant research activities, managing clinical data and documentation, and handling biological samples; and
- Performing other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
