Senior Technical Officer in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref. : 495480) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess an M.Phil. or a Ph.D. degree in Biological or Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, with at least 5 years’ work experience in the cancer research field. Expertise in cell/molecular biology, cell/organoid culture, cancer related assays, animal studies, next generation sequencing and bioinformatics analysis are essential. Applicants should be highly motivated, attentive to detail, and able to work independently and contribute to multi-disciplinary research projects related to hepatocellular carcinoma stemness, metabolism and microenvironment studies. They should have solid project management and coordination skills, and effective communication skills. The appointee will assist in research activities, managing the laboratory and supervising junior research staff in the laboratory.
