IT Manager in the Technology-Enriched Learning Initiative (Ref: 495704) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related discipline, with at least 4 years’ proven work experience in system administration, development and web programming. They should also have good problem solving and strong communication skills; be able to multi-task, work independently as well as work under tight schedule. They are expected to be familiar with server side technologies (e.g. PHP, Node.js, Python, MySQL, MongoDB) as well as client side technologies (e.g. HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js); be proficient in DevOps for continuous development and integration of software systems, VM, container technologies, cloud services for software deployment, and security and privacy compliance of software systems.

The appointee will be responsible for leading a team of developers and software engineers to manage TELI server/network infrastructure; set up systems; write well-designed, maintainable and efficient code for content management system; develop and maintain e-learning platforms; provide technical support in software development projects;  work with developers/researchers/instructors/vendors to support system implementation, web applications and programming projects.
