Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychology (Ref.: 496899) (to commence on September 1, 2019 for one year)
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Psychology or Behavioral Genetics. Those who are nearing completion of the Ph.D. in either disciplines are encouraged to apply, with the application specifying the anticipated completion date. They should be self-motivated and have sound training in research methods as well as advanced statistical analysis. They should also have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills. Experience in conducting studies on language and reading with children or twins would be preferred.
The appointee will assist in planning, overseeing day-to-day operation, data management and report writing for a project focusing on academic behavioral measures of bilingual twins (Chinese and English). This longitudinal study will examine the growth of different kinds of reading and mathematics skills.
