Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 496900) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Counselling, Social Work, Applied Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline with at least three years’ experience working with caregivers and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or developmental delays. They should be responsible, mature, organised and attentive to details. They should also have great communication skills, an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese including (Cantonese), and good understanding of social sciences research. The appointee will be trained to deliver a caregiver skills training programme, co-developed by the World Health Organization and Autism Speaks. He/she will help deliver the programme to caregivers of children with ASD and/or developmental delays; and assist in data collection, analysis and dissemination. Preference will be given to those who are keen in developing evidence-based practices for caregivers of children who are in needs in Hong Kong. Working outside office hours may be required.
