To cope with its strategic development and expansion, the Faculty of Business and Economics (HKU Business School) is now seeking high caliber candidates to support marketing and promotion campaigns for its Master’s degree programmes.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably a Master’s degree in business-related disciplines, with at least 10 years’ work experience preferably in the marketing and/or tertiary sector. They should be strong team builders and outcome driven professionals who are well-versed in the higher education landscape, with the ability to plan, implement and execute marketing and admissions strategy for a range of Master’s degree programmes. They should have strategic thinking, innovative and effective organizational skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver expected quality outputs under tight deadlines, an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese), a high level of computer proficiency, and sound interpersonal and communication skills.
The appointee will be responsible for the marketing and admissions for the Master’s degree programmes, and will play a key role in planning and implementing student recruitment events e.g. information sessions, admissions talks, Skype chats, fairs, webinars and campus visits to recruit quality candidates. He/She should have good understanding of and relevant work experience about mainland China market in handling marketing collaterals, implementing digital advertising campaigns, social media marketing and ability to work with various media outlets. Strong ability to deliver effective presentations to a large audience along with skills to conduct small group chats and reach-out events is required. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours during weekends, and travel frequently to mainland cities and other worldwide destinations to promote and engage with potential applicants.
