Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the In-service Teacher Education Programme (INSTEP) Office of the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 497180) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills; a strong sense of responsibility; and the ability to work independently with attention to details.  They should also have hands-on experience of English and Chinese word processing and PC applications (such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). 

The appointee will provide administrative and clerical support to the in-service teacher professional development programmes and consultancy/research projects commissioned by external agencies (e.g. the Education Bureau).  He/She will coordinate and handle programme applications/admissions, enquiries, delivery and evaluation; draft correspondence, reports and meeting notes; handle financial matters; and perform other duties as assigned.  Working on alternate Saturday mornings (mainly between November and May) will be required.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
