Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Programme Manager) in the China Affairs Office of the Admissions and Academic Liaison Section of the Registry (3 posts) (Ref.: 497200) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' working experience. They should also possess strong interpersonal communication skills, outgoing character, good computer literacy, and fluency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. They should also be a good team player, be able to work under tight schedule and multitask.
Post 1: The appointee will be responsible for liaising with internal and external parties on administrative affairs of student exchange programmes, assisting in the preparation of reports and documentation, and performing any other duties as assigned. Occasional travel to Mainland China will be required. Experience with government funded schemes for students and knowledge in digital marketing and photoshop will be an advantage.
Post 2: The appointee will handle online visa and programme applications, monitor performance of online enrollment systems and act as anchor person to communicate with IT department and technical service providers on enhancement and maintenance of online enrollment systems. They should be able to provide assistance/advice towards students’ enquiries related to their online application status; maintain effective communications with faculty administrators and officers in the relevant government department in Hong Kong; and provide suggestions/advice for IT-related issues in daily operation.
Post 3: The appointee will be responsible for performing managerial accounting duties and providing administrative support for University events. They should be able to manage book-keeping records, monitor financial performance of the team and prepare reports to assist management in making financial decisions. The appointee should also provide administrative support to events, attending working meetings to act as a secretary and other duties as assigned by the event in-charge.
For all posts, the appointees will be required to handle matters on book keeping, budget control and general administration in the office; and perform any other duties as assigned by the Section Head. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
