Program Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) for AsiaGlobal Fellows Program in the Asia Global Institute (AGI) (Ref.: 498547) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
The Asia Global Institute (AGI) at The University of Hong Kong generates and disseminates innovative thinking and policy and business-relevant research on global issues from Asian perspectives. The AsiaGlobal Fellows Program, directed and administered by AGI, is an interdisciplinary global leadership development initiative for mid-career professionals with a strong interest and track record in public policy. It aims to nurture future leaders and create influencers with a deeper understanding of global issues from Asian perspectives.
Applicants should possess a recognized degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications or English, with at least five years’ solid experience in relevant fields including tertiary institutions and program management. An excellent command of English and Chinese and the ability to take initiative and solve problems independently in a fast-faced and multicultural environment are important. They should be a good team player with strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communications skills. The appointee will assist the Program Director in the development and implementation of the Program; manage all logistics associated with the Program, including but not limited to venues, insurance, visa applications, travel and accommodation, and housing arrangements; devise and implement an effective communications and marketing plan to promote the Program; manage Program recruitment and admission from promotion, applications, to screening, interview arrangements; actively participate in the development and implementation of a wide range of events and activities for the AsiaGlobal Fellows; manage and update the AsiaGlobal Fellows website, and social media sites; and contribute to the development, implementation and management of the AsiaGlobal Fellows alumni network.
