Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 499098) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline with 3 years’ post-qualification experience; or a Master’s degree in the aforementioned disciplines with one year’s post-qualification experience.  They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English, skills in analytical evaluation and generation of practical solutions, and the ability to work independently and in a team.  Those with post-qualification work experience in social sciences research projects and knowledge of data analysis are preferred.  Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less supervisory, management or research experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II.

The appointee will assist the Project Directors in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities on elderly mental health services; oversee data collection and drafting reports; and perform other tasks as assigned.  He/She will have ample opportunities to work with Social Workers and other mental health professionals, as well as various stakeholders in the local community.
