Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 499440) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or other related disciplines with three years’ post-qualification experience; or a Master’s degree in the aforementioned disciplines with one year’s post-qualification experience. They should have proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); skills in analytical evaluation and generation of practical solutions; and ability to work independently and as a team player. Those with post-qualification work experience in social sciences research projects and knowledge in data analysis are preferred.
The appointee will join the Jockey Club JoyAge Project to assist Project Directors in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities on elderly mental health services; oversee data collection and drafting reports; and perform any other relevant tasks as assigned. He/She will have ample opportunities to work with Social Workers and other mental health professionals, as well as stakeholders in the local community. Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less supervisory, management or research experience may be considered as Research Assistant I/II.
