Research Assistant II in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 499450) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry or a related discipline. Prior experience in microbial and/or cell culture, molecular biological techniques, including PCR, cloning and DNA sequencing, and bioinformatics would be an advantage. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. Preference will be given to those who have an interest in pursuing further M.Phil./Ph.D studies. The appointee will work on research projects related to emerging infectious diseases, including but not limited to mycoses, under the supervision of Professor Patrick C. Y. Woo.
