Assistant Centre Manager (at the rank of Senior Student Affairs Assistant) in the Chong Yuet Ming Cultural Centre (CYMCC) of the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (Ref. 499630) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a recognized degree or higher diploma with major course work in arts administration, cultural management, theatre programme or related subject(s), with at least 5 years’ art administration or relevant experience. Those with experience in theatre programme coordination is preferred. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good general computer skills (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Photoshop), good interpersonal and organizational skills; and the ability to work independently. They should also be self-motivated, dynamic and mature, and with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork. Knowledge in AutoCAD 2010 (or later versions) will be an advantage.
The appointee will be required to develop and implement marketing strategies for promoting CYMCC and manage publicity channels; perform on-site operations; coordinate Student Theatrical Technician Training Programme, student-based activities and other programmes held at CYMCC; take up the financial management responsibility, including managing income and expenditure of CYMCC, procurement, quotation and tender preparation, petty cash flow, etc; handle office administration and daily enquiries; and perform other duties as assigned. The appointee will take up shift duties in evenings, weekends and public holidays. This post is equivalent to the rank of Clerk I in the University.
