IT Officer (holding the functional title of Analyst Programmer)/IT Technician (holding the functional title of Programmer) in the Department of Law (Ref.: 499651) (to commence as soon as possible for 8 months, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines, with minimum 3 years of solid and relevant experience in software development. They should possess good knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, web backend (e.g., Python, NodeJS), responsive web (e.g., Angular, React), Nginx, Linux,, SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB, Couchbase, Cassandra), RESTful API, cloud and container (Docker, Kubernetes), testing tools (e.g., Selenium). Knowledge and experience in full-text indexing and searching (Elasticsearch/Solr), content management systems (e.g., Drupal) is necessary.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication, presentation and problem-solving skills. They should also be independent, initiative, mature, self-motivated, and result-oriented.  The appointee will perform full software development life cycle to develop web applications (user requirements study, system analysis and design, programming, testing, documentation, report writing and support).  Applicants with less experience may be considered as Programmer.
