Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Programme Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 499832) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies or a related discipline with at least one year’s relevant full-time work experience. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese). Those with competency with GIS, plus experience in conducting fieldwork research and organizing public education activities pertaining to rivers and urban channels in Hong Kong would definitely have an advantage.
The appointee will work in the Jockey Club Water Initiative on Sustainability and Engagement (JC-WISE) Project under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The project aimed at raising the public’s awareness, and appreciation, of the importance of achieving long-term water sustainability for Hong Kong. He/she is expected to work closely with the project’s Programme Manager to implement the Project’s activities.
