Legal Officer (Intellectual Property) (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Technology Transfer Office (Ref.: 499844) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a University degree in Science/Engineering/Law or a related discipline with at least 2 years’ solid experience as a secretary/paralegal. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); sound knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP); and hands-on experience in patent prosecution. They should also be conscientious, mature, hard-working, and a good team player and fast learner with the ability to work independently.
The appointee will assist in handling IP matters including filing, docketing, and managing IP portfolio; recording bibliographic details and monitoring deadlines; monitoring patent expenditure; coordinating with internal and external parties; and performing other administrative work as assigned.
