Senior Technical Officer in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 500168) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in medical science, microbiology, biological sciences or a related discipline, with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience. Research experience in cell culture and molecular biology is required. Experience in primary cell isolation, flow cytometry, animal handling and handling microbial pathogens in BSL-2 and 3 laboratories would be an advantage. The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. Michael C.W. Chan on multi-disciplinary projects of influenza viruses.
