Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care (Ref.: 500192) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Medical Sciences or Public Health. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge of statistics and big data analysis, and interest in pursuing postgraduate study (M.Phil. or Ph.D.) would be advantageous. Fresh graduates will also be considered. Those with higher qualification and/or more experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I (holding the functional title of Statistical Officer).
s will work with core members of the evaluation of public health service and epidemiological studies on non-communicable diseases in a 5-year project. He/She will mainly perform data analysis, and prepare academic publications and reports for a funded project. On-the-job training in advanced programming (R and Stata) will be provided. The post will provide an excellent opportunity for the appointee to develop a research career involving advanced statistical programming and analysis of big data cohort within a leading academic university.
