Certificated Dental Surgery Assistant I/II/Dental Clinic Assistant (at the rank of Facilities Assistant) (several posts) in the Institute for Advanced Dentistry Multi-Specialty Clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 500260) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
For appointment as Certificated Dental Surgery Assistant I/II, applicants should have a Certificate of Proficiency in Dental Surgery Assisting issued by a recognised institute or equivalent, AND 5 passes in HKCEE, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE, with at least 5 years’ chairside assisting work experience in a dental clinic. Recent graduates of Diploma in Dental Surgery Assisting are welcome to apply. Those with less experience may be appointed as Certificated Dental Surgery Assistant II. The appointees will assist the operators in the treatment of patients and teaching-related matters; facilitate patient care, administration, supplies, general cleanliness associated with clinics and front desk patient care assisting functions; and perform other duties as assigned.

Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE, with at least 5 years’ work experience in a dental clinic including chairside assisting. The appointees will assist the operators in the treatment of patients and teaching-related matters; facilitate patient care, administration, supplies and general cleanliness associated with clinics; and perform other duties as assigned.
Rotating shifts of mornings, afternoons and evenings for Mondays to Fridays may be required. Those who have responded to the previous advertisements (Ref.: 498933 and 499282) need not re-apply.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
