Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 500447) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in artificial intelligence, big data or a discipline related to biomedical science, with relevant work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and a keen research interest in big data and public health. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge of artificial intelligence and experience in organising research work are highly preferred. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be appointed as Research Assistant II.

The appointee will conduct advanced statistical analyses of high dimension datasets, assist in data curation and management, and create and maintain dashboards for dissemination of results. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
