Senior Research Assistant in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 501747) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in infectious diseases with an established level of academic research; OR a Master’s degree in statistics, public health, medical science, or related disciplines with at least one year’s working experience in data analysis and interpretation. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; IT proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel and SPSS); and good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in infectious disease epidemiology and/or COVID-19 research would be an advantage.
The appointee will curate data from vaccine studies in Hong Kong, and conduct routine and exploratory data analyses. He/She will coordinate and monitor the progress of the clinical studies, liaise with collaborators and funding bodies, and assist in the application for new grants.
