Technical Manager in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 501795) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Master's degree or above, preferably a higher degree in mathematics, statistics or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ post-qualification work experience in data and project management. They must be able to use various statistical software packages such as R, SPSS and LaTeX for data analysis. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.

The appointee will provide high-level statistical support to a team of researchers in the area of infectious disease epidemiology. He/She will coordinate research projects and activities; analyse and manage data; assist in grant applications; prepare reports and publicity materials; supervise and train the junior staff members; and perform other duties as assigned.
