Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 501804) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry or related disciplines. Experience in molecular cloning, protein expression, cell culture, CRISPR, single cell transcriptomics, omics analysis, or virus-related works would be an advantage. Applicants should have good organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and work in a team, and a strong sense of responsibility. They should also be self-motivated and determined. Preference will be given to those who have an interest in pursuing further MPhil/PhD studies. The appointee will be involved in research projects related to COVID-19 and/or other emerging viral diseases under the supervision of Professor Kwok-Yung Yuen and Dr. Jasper Chan.
