Research Assistant I/II in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 501966) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability) 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Psychology, Design, Statistics, Information System, Engineering, Public Health or related disciplines, preferably with a Master’s degree of the aforesaid disciplines, and at least one year’s post-qualification work experience in elderly, technology, healthcare, or education setting. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; strong communication skills; knowledge in using statistical software such as SPSS, R, Phyton; and be able to work independently and as a team. 

The appointee will work in a multidisciplinary research team to conduct multiple projects. He/She will support the development and promotion of gerontology-infusion teaching and learning in the university; and coordinate user studies of intelligent robotics and other type of technologies for eldercare. He/She will be responsible for literature review; coordination of data collection activities; data analysis; preparation of presentations, manuscripts and reports; liaison with elderly people, NGOs partners and collaborators; and performing other research-related duties as assigned by the investigators.
