Research Assistant I/II in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 502040) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability) 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Sociology, Social Policy, Statistics or related disciplines, preferably with at least one year of post-qualification work experience in gerontology or related research projects. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; comprehensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis; and good knowledge of the local elderly service setting. Experience of fieldwork data collection from elder people and caregivers would be an advantage.

The appointee will be responsible for literature review; data collection and analysis; preparation of presentations, manuscripts and reports; and performing other research-related duties as assigned by the investigators. Those with more research experience, supervisory experience and stronger academic background may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.
