Research Assistant I/II in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502212) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in infectious disease epidemiology, mathematics, statistics, computational biology, physics, or related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. They should be detail-orientated and able to work collaboratively in a team. Knowledge of infectious disease epidemiology, quantitative skills and mathematical modelling is highly desirable. Experience in statistical analysis, and proficiency in statistical and computer modelling software (e.g. R, Python, Stata, Matlab, C++, SPSS) would be advantages.
The appointee will analyse data for studies related to influenza and COVID-19 in Hong Kong, and prepare publications and reports.
