Senior Research Assistant in the School of Public Health (holding the functional title of Project Manager) (Ref.: 502270) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in biomedical/veterinary sciences or related disciplines with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience in an infectious disease laboratory. They should have a good command of written and spoken English; the ability to work independently and in a team; and good knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Experience in project management in an Infectious Diseases Laboratory and practical experience in genome sequence curation and analysis are highly preferred.
The appointee will coordinate research projects in the public health genomics laboratory, organise surveillance activities, manage laboratory datasets, draft genomic risk assessment reports, prepare project proposals, and assist in other research- and teaching-related duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).
