Technical Manager in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502523) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above, with at least 5 years’ post-qualification work experience in project management. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), and a keen research interest in epidemiology and public health. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as a team. Experience in managing medical research would be an advantage.
The appointee will assist in the implementation of a community-based clinical research study in Hong Kong. He/She will manage a research team to recruit participants, administer questionnaires, collect biological specimens including blood draws, conduct health education, and carry out follow up of participants. He/She will also participate in the strategic planning of the study, and train junior research staff. Irregular working hours may be required occasionally.
