Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences (PHLS) of the School of Public Health (Ref: 502661) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in biological/biomedical sciences, biochemistry or related disciplines. Experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques would be an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to those who have an interest in pursuing further M.Phil./Ph.D. studies. The appointee will work on projects related to influenza and coronavirus under the supervision of Dr. Michael C.W. Chan and Dr. Kenrie P.Y. Hui.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
