IT Officer/Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Multimedia Officer/Assistant Multimedia Officer) in the Technology-Enriched Learning Initiative (TELI) (Ref.: 502708) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should process at least a Degree/Higher Diploma in creative media, multimedia, filming and photography, visual communications or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ professional work experience in video shooting, editing and post-production. They should have proficiency in English, strong communication skills, good working relationship with clients and stakeholders, good time management skills and the ability to meet multiple coinciding deadlines; and the ability to support all stages of multimedia production and to follow/maintain/develop video style guide and brand quality and standard. They should also have experiences in closed captioning and be proficient in Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere CC. Those with good knowledge in sound and lighting is desirable, and knowledge of designing storyboard, color correction, audio engineering and sound design, Adobe After Effect & Photoshop, new multimedia technology (e.g. 360° video), knowledge management system and video live streaming and photography are definite advantages.

The appointee will work in TELI to produce a series of online courses, teaching and learning multimedia contents and publicity materials; be responsible for video production and post production: produce, shoot and edit footage according to scripts, storyboards or loose guidelines; handle a project from idea to completion and tell a visually compelling story with creative editing and sound; and observe and manage video production schedules. Applicants with less experience or qualifications may be appointed as Technical Officer. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
