Research Assistant I/II in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502896) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in biostatistics, public health, or biomedicine-related disciplines, with relevant work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and a keen interest in research on epidemiology and public health. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Experience in using statistical software packages (e.g. R, Stata or SAS) would be an advantage.
The appointee will be involved in a community-based cohort study in Hong Kong. He/She will assist in blood draws and nasal swab collection, recruit participants, conduct active surveillance for illnesses, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
