IT Officer in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention, Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 503004) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ working experience in information technology including at least 3 years’ experience in project coordination. They should have substantial experience in client-server and web-based systems development and implementation using technologies such as Relational Database and related development tools. Experience as System Analyst in coordinating application development and implementation with external service providers, managing service contracts, and coordinating large-scale rollout activities; and experience in interactive web design and maintenance, especially those in the area of e-learning/web-based programme would be advantageous. The applicants should have a good command of Chinese and English, and the ability to work independently. The appointee will be responsible for (i) defining user requirements, conducting system analysis and design; (ii) overseeing project development, testing and implementation processes; and (iii) providing services in system maintenance and enhancements of the existing client-server and web-based systems.
