Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 503251) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in nursing, public health, preventive medicine, or a discipline related to biomedical science, with relevant work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (particularly fluent Cantonese), and a keen research interest in epidemiology and public health. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge of antimicrobial resistance and experience in conducting fieldwork are highly preferred. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be appointed as Research Assistant II.

The appointees will assist in a range of ongoing community field studies. He/She will recruit participants, conduct health education, collect samples, analyse data, and perform other duties as assigned. Irregular working hours may be required occasionally.
