Statistician (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I/II (AAI/II)) in the Management Information Unit of the President's Office (Ref.: 503349) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science and Analytics, or other relevant disciplines with at least 5 years' relevant work experience, preferably in the higher education sector.  They should be able to devise a sound analytical approach to a given task, collect data from different available sources, organize data in a systematic manner, analyze and crystallize data into useful information, and communicate the findings effectively.  Applicants should possess excellent analytical, data management, statistical computing, numerical reasoning, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English.  They should also be curious, creative, self-motivated, and result-oriented. Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment as AAII.

The appointee will be a senior member of the professional team responsible for the collection, compilation, analysis, and presentation of relevant information available within and outside the University in support of institutional review, reporting, planning, and decision-making.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and a written test.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary for AAI, and 10% of basic salary for AAII.
