IT Officer in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 503695) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or above in Computer or IT related disciplines, with at least 2 years’ work experience in network infrastructure or server infrastructure.  They should have practical experience with (i) storage and backup equipment from one of the brands, including NetApp, Nimble and 3PAR storages; (ii) patch management for all infrastructure facilities; (iii) MS SQL Server cluster; and (iv) network equipment from one of the brands, including Cisco, Palo Alto, FireEye, VMware, Nutanix, HPE, and Veeam. Experience in setting up active-active data centers would be an advantage.  Applicants should be certified with Cisco CCNP Level or equivalent and should have a good command of both spoken English and Chinese.

The appointee will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing all IT operations in data centers, and leading infrastructure and security projects.  He/She will assist in developing a new data center, building the network for telepresence system, designing and setting up firewalls and video conference equipments in all teaching venues.  Working independently and outside office hours are required.
